Virgil is a bloodmage, one who can manipulate the life force of another creature. Vampires, human puppeteers, and demonic worshipers all make up the ranks of the bloodmage. But Virgil wants to be a hero, not a villain. He wants friends, a home, and someone who loves him. And in that desire to be accepted, he turns to the darkest of magics… and pays the price.
